We are saddened to report that Josh Worley succumbed to his battle with cancer yesterday. Many Eastern Associates had formed a closer bond to Josh after seeing his inspirational fight against this disease. He will be missed. Below is his obituary from The Greenville News.
Joshua Joseph Worley, 35, earned the ultimate reward after his 19 month battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer and has taken his place in heaven on January 24, 2011.
Born in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of Joyce Worley of Mauldin, SC and Joseph Worley of FL
Surviving are his wife Nicole Worley, two sons, Justin Worley age 15 and Tyler Worley age 10 of Simpsonville, SC. A sister, Jess Moody and her husband Nathan of Simpsonville, SC.
Josh was employed by UPS for over 15 years where he was highly accredited, well liked by customers, co-workers and friends alike.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Simpsonville, 3 Hedge Street, Simpsonville, SC, 29681. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00 p.m. and will also be held at First Baptist Simpsonville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at any CPM Federal Credit Union Upstate location For the Benefit of the Worley children.
