In February, Bobby Bishop (LaGrange Outside Sales Representative), Michael Thompkins (LaGrange Distribution Coordinator), and Paul Thompkins (Western Georgia Regional Manager) were able to participate in an episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover:  Home Edition  The show was in Georgia to benefit Jeremy Williams – an athletic director and head football coach at Greenville High School.  Jeremy has Lou Gehrig’s disease and his son, Jacob, has spina bifida.  Jeremy and his wife, Jennifer, also have another child, Josie.  Jacob is confined to a wheelchair and soon Jeremy will be unable to get around without the use of a wheelchair.  However, despite any personal and physical ailments Jeremy is still involved in his community.  He continues to coach football, which recorded an 11-0 season last fall and made it to the playoffs.  The Williams’s home was in shambles with a cracked and sinking foundation, a broken retaining wall, and mold infesting the walls.  Now, after a week of hard work they are living in a beautiful home in the Pine Mountain Valley.  Our Associates from LaGrange were able to spend two days on the set working on a surprise project for Jeremy.  They helped to refurbish the field house for the football team at Greenville High.  Eastern donated all the pvf and plumbing supplies for the project.  This included sinks, toilets, urinals, as well as partitions for the bathrooms.  Be sure to tune in to ABC for the season finale of the show and look for our Eastern family!
