Here in the South church steeples are commonplace. In fact, churches are even built next door to one another. It is hard to imagine for most Americans not only having to travel a great distance just to go to church, but also doing so amidst an often hostile environment. Yet, that was the case for more than 100 Christian families of Subramanya Nagar in Puttur village, Udupi Taluk in South India until Rajesh Salins of Bell-O-Seal Valve, one of Eastern’s business contacts, was inspired by God to construct a church in order to benefit all Christians in the area. Eastern partnered with Bell-O-Seal to “help shine the light of hope for Christians and others in this area,” said Kip Miller, CEO and President of Eastern.
