Virginia Mission Trip

August 6, 2009

In July, my family and I had the wonderful opportunity to go on a life changing mission trip with our church, Washington Baptist, to Jonesville, VA. Charity Golf Tournament

July 23, 2009

On Saturday July 11th, Rich Carrington, Dustin Sawyer, and I took part in a Charity Golf Tournament for Josh Worley.  Josh is the UPS Driver for Branch 1 – Greenville,SC.  Josh was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer.  Josh’s coworker Jonathan O’Sullivan and his wife Heather, with the help of UPS, sprang into action.  Within two weeks, the team organized a golf tournament that raised $19,100 through registration, tee shirts, wristbands, 50/50, and a silent auction. In addition to money raised, Eastern made a generous donation through the Eastern Cares Program for the Worley Family.
